2RedBananas Challenge!

Join in on the fun! 2RedBananas is hosting the first challenge and offering some bling as a prize for the randomly selected winner. All you have to do is create something new using either your all time favorite stamp or your favorite "right now" stamp. Then post it on http://www.2redbananas.blogspot.com/ as a comment to the "It's Challenge Time with Blog Candy" post. Have your project posted by midnight CST Friday, January 2, 2009. The lucky winner will be randomly selected on Saturday, January 3rd and get to choose any 2 Shimmerz or Blingz that 2RedBananas carries. So take the challenge and try to win some bling!

For the challenge, I pulled out a favorite stamp set, Heart Flowers by Limited Edition. Using Tsukineko Rocket Red, I stamped the large flower and "my heart belongs 2U" sentiment onto kraft cardstock and cut them out. I colored the flower using Sakura red gel pen, Signo white pen and the clear Stardust pen. In the center of the flower, I added a clear dew drop. I also used the Stardust pen to trace over the sentiment to add a little sparkle. I adhered the May Arts red hearts/white ribbon as a stem and tied a sheer white polka dot ribbon to it. Then I glued the cut out and colored flower to the top of the "stem" and attached the sentiment with a popdot. It was an easy card and fun using the pens to color the flower!
